Welcome to Magelake Hall, a vibrant and busy Community Centre located in the heart of the idyllic Devon town of Uffculme.

 

Magelake Hall is a multi-functional community facility run by the community for the community. Magelake Hall has an excellent range of facilities available to be booked by the general public including a brand new all weather pitch, two full size football pitches and a large communtity hall.

Magelake Hall is located in the parish of Uffculme, an ancient market town situated in the South West of England in mid Devon within a few miles of the Somerset border. The town stands on the River Culm, a tributary of the Exe, which rises in the nearby Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

 

Magelake Hall was built on land donated to the Parish in the 1930's by the late Mr Thomas Brice, tailor and church organist. The recent addition of the all weather pitch has transformed Magelake Hall into a first class sporting and events centre for communities in and around Uffculme.

Our sumer weather was kinder to us this year, as it was warm and dry for Friday and Saturday, only breaking up on Sunday afternoon into windy showers!.   However, everyone who came enjoyed themselves, although the lack of local support was rather disappointing.  Attendance was especially good for Saturday afternoon and evening, and we were entertained by some great local bands.  The char...
